OUR COMMUNITIES:
A commitment to homeowners and community
THIS COMMUNITY: JACARANDA WEST HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION #1, INC., Venice, Florida 34293
Located on several hundred acres in Sarasota County, Jacaranda West is known for its safe, quiet, welcoming and walkable neighborhoods. The 900 +/- residences are well-maintained spacious homes and condos and are mostly owner-occupied with a mix of year-round residents and seasonal “snowbirds.” Many homes feature water and golf views or are directly on the banks of the numerous lakes and ponds throughout the community. All are set amidst attractive and mature landscaping along mostly private roads lined with stately live oaks and palm trees – and, of course, the occasional striking blue-violet jacarandas.
In addition to lots of nearby golf, tennis and pickleball options, the area around Jacaranda West offers many hiking and biking paths, including the 18 mile-&-growing Legacy Trail that connects Venice to Sarasota. Venice is also home to the Sarasota Croquet Club, the largest public croquet club in the country, and host to national and international competitions.
Jacaranda West is just a short drive from Historic Downtown Venice Island with its charming shops, theater, performing arts center, dynamic weekly year-round Farmers’ Market and a wide range of dining options. There’s also easy public access to the many beautiful Gulf beaches in Venice. Jacaranda West is less than an hour’s drive to downtown Sarasota via the Tamiami Trail (US 41) or I-75. In addition to many retail and cultural activities, Sarasota is home to the Sarasota/Bradenton International Airport. Heading south, Jacaranda West is a few miles from The Atlanta Braves Spring Training complex, CoolToday Park, located in the new development of Wellen Park.
Jacaranda is a well-established deed-restricted community, led by an elected board of volunteer officers and directors, and managed professionally by AMI-Advanced Management, Inc., an independent management company. Residents are invited to participate in several volunteer committees.
